Individual Tuition
Whether you sing for fun or more seriously, all styles and tastes can be accommodated from pop through to musicals and cabaret to opera using the Italian belcanto technique.
Auditions
Preparation for auditions is an important part of Mike’s work not only with singers, but also of dancers and actors. Casting directors are always on the lookout for versatile performers as are dance and drama colleges.
The duration of adult lessons are 40 minutes or 1 hour.
As a freelance coach, Mike currently teaches singing at St. Bede’s Catholic High School in Lytham and is available for other organisations on a regular or consultative basis.
Michael Hall Adult Choir
Formed in 2001, the adult choir performs vibrant music of all styles, not just at the Visual Noise Arts Centre but around the Fylde. Everyone is welcome. The only qualification is the love of singing. Although a women’s choir with all ages represented we frequently prepare evenings with Tenors and Basses adding a breadth of sound and increasing the repertoire of the choir.
Recent classical works have included Faure’s Requiem Mass, Haydn’s The Creation and Palestrina’s Messa aeterna Christi Munera. The current project is Handels The Messiah, Stainer’s Crusifixion and Spring from Haydn’s The Seasons. The latter two will be performed in conjunction with Blackpool Male Voice Choir, Blackpool Ladies choir, Opera Plus and Marton Operatics Society. The Summer will see our traditional light music concert.
