Musica Lirica Opera Company was formed in 2009 to bring more live opera to the public, not only to entertain, but also to stimulate both audiences and performers alike. The company calls on the services of professional and gifted amateur singers and instrumentalists under the baton of Michael Hall. The Leitmotif of Musica Lirica is to deliver first rate opera to the public in imaginative productions which will stimulate its audience and make it accessible to, not only the opera going public but also to those who may not be aware of its dramatic and musical worth.

In anticipation of it’s performance of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro in early 1011, Musica Lirica will be performing the Second Act of Figaro featuring its wonderful, celebrated finale, on Tuesday 25th May at Alston Hall as part of Joan Burn’s Mozart Opera Lectures.
